Summary

This course will discuss types of vertigo including the pathophysiology, assessment and treatment of BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) which is the most experienced type of vertigo. The session will include specific tools for effective diagnosis to use in an evaluation followed by strategies to manage symptoms which will greatly help clinicians apply these concepts in their clinics immediately.

Upon completion of the course, the attendee will be able to - 

  • Identify and differentiate BPPV amongst other vestibular disorders.
  • Effectively apply the diagnostic maneuvers to test BPPV in the clinic.
  • Effectively utilize treatment strategies to reduce symptoms on the first day of evaluation.
