Developing a Marketing Strategy: Key Concepts and Ideas Relevant to the Physical Therapist

Published by Ohio Physical Therapy Association and Alabama Physical Therapy Association

Summary

Although sometimes a strange and tenuous marriage, health care functions as a business. We, as physical therapists, are service providers to our patients, the consumers. A fundamental aspect of any successful business is the ability to market these services to those who might seek them. Subsequently, it is important for physical therapists to have a basic understanding of marketing strategy and to understand what this looks like in our world of physical therapy. This lunch and learn will discuss the foundational concept of marketing strategy so that those participating will have a basic understanding of these concepts and why they are important for physical therapists to understand.
