CHANGES TO THE MEDICARE FEE SCHEDULE IN 2018

Summary

On January 1, 2018, an updated Medicare Physician Fee Schedule became effective. Physical therapists may see a change in their payments. Whether that is a positive change or a negative change depends on your practice and utilization of various codes. The session will explain the changes to the fee schedule, as well as other policies affecting Medicare Part B payment.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of the course, participants will:
1. Understand the changes to practice and work values that impact the 2018 fee schedule rates.
2. Define the revisions made to CPT code definitions.
3. Utilize appropriate methods in tracking and planning for the 2018 therapy cap.
